Volunteer
Opportunities
The Adaptive Riding Institute is staffed almost entirely by volunteers. Our volunteers are
some
of the finest, most dedicated people in this part of the country and we welcome
your interest in
joining their ranks. If you enjoy trail riding, camping and other outdoor
activities and would
like to share these experiences with others, if you enjoy helping people and working with
animals, if you are a horse addict who is currently without a horse, YOU are needed. No talent too small.
Enthusiasm is the only pre-requisite. Contact the Adaptive Riding Institute regarding becoming a volunteer.

COMMENTS FROM RIDERS AND VOLUNTEERS ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES WITH THE PROGRAM
"This program has given me the opportunity to go places that I never could being on crutches. Thanks for making a dream come true. It was a perfect vacation. Life changed for me for those few days and gave me a big breath of fresh air that will last for a long, long time." - Roberta, Rider
"Very few things in life come close to a successful day in the saddle; to accomplish a goal
which a few months ago seemed impossible...these are the things that make it all worthwhile." - Susan, Rider
"My experience as a volunteer with this program is invaluable. I arrived knowing nothing about horses and wanting to help "disabled" people. I left with more knowledge about horses than most people can accumulate in a lifetime, and I learned that people labeled "disabled" are only so in the physical sense. As a volunteer, I can't thank the program enough for everything it has given me." - Karen, Volunteer |
