Custom Horse Training

Custom horse training is available for privately owned horses, ponies, and mules belonging to riders who have special needs and also the general public. Each animal is evaluated prior to training to determine if it possesses the intelligence and temperament needed to perform the desired tasks safely and consistently. 

The length of time required for each animal varies depending on the number of tasks being learned and the complexity of the desired new skills. Minimum training time is 60 days. Public horse boarding is also available.

Individuals who would like to purchase a horse for their private use are offered a horse finding service by The Institute. Our trained staff will help locate the right horse for you. Gentle older horses being retired from our program are also offered for sale periodically. Anyone interested in purchasing a horse should request a "Pre-purchase Questionnaire."
